Advocacy Project Director

Job Summary:

The Advocacy Project Director is responsible for leading AmCham’s strategic plan with regard to
managing The Arangkada Philippines Project (TAPP) priorities at all levels and its revenue generation in
creating partnership opportunities. He/She is responsible for attending an effective and efficient cross-
functional collaboration and integration between AmCham, Foreign Chambers and other business


– Leads and manages the TAPP team;
– Develops and oversees implementation of TAPP advocacy strategy;
– Develops and achieves the business plan and secures budget for the project;
– Creates revenue stream programs and activities for TAPP;
– Leads advocacy efforts on identified advocacy priorities representing AmCham including other
– Undertakes research and analysis on advocacy priorities in consultation with AmCham
members and other stakeholders;
– Produce reports, briefing notes, position papers and other materials on advocacy priorities or
related issues;
– Maintains good relationships with private and public sectors, business community and other
– Coordinates and facilitates policy discussions, special meetings, round table discussions and
forums in progressing advocacy agenda;
– Represents TAPP on various engagements and advocate on behalf of members and private
sector industry including the media;
– Provides timely update and advice to stakeholders and the management team on advocacy
issues that may arise;
– Work with external partners, other business groups and special programs;
– Represents the Chamber on various steering committees and policy planning groups (in the
– Works with the Executive Director/Board of Directors on other matters as directed;
– Performs other duties as assigned.


– Degree in Business Management or related field;
– Experience with staff supervision, project management, policy analysis and issue
– 5 years and more work experience in dealing with business and government affairs or related

– High level communication skills and professional command of written and spoken English;
– Leadership, people and resource management experience;
– Good understanding of the private sector, business and trade environments;
– Strong ability to plan and coordinate activities effectively with team members and external
– Ability to communicate effectively at level of national fora;
– Ability to proactively seek support and/or solutions in dealing with new or unknown tasks and

Industry Development and Events Specialist

The Industry Development and Partnership Specialist is responsible for monitoring the issues relevant to AmCham members according to their interest/industry by organizing committee activities and meetings, in full coordination with the Committee Chairperson for his/her assigned committees.
