AMCHAM VISAYAS
AmCham Cebu was initiated by AmCham Makati Executive Director Marsh Thomson in 1987. At that time, Donald M. Moraza of Pillsbury-Mindanao Flour Milling Co. (now Pilmico Foods Corporation) was a member of AmCham Philippines’ Board of Directors as Vice-President (Cebu). On December 8, 1988, a charter was granted to the Cebu Chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Inc.Â
The Chapter started full operation in 1989-1990 with 34 firms and 15 individuals in its membership base, under the leadership of the late Darrell Conine of Cebu Plaza Hotel (now the edifice of Marco Polo Plaza Cebu). He was succeeded by furniture manufacturer and exporter, Knox Booth (1990-1991), U.S. Consular Agent John Domingo (1991-1993), and John Taylor (1993-1995), to name a few.
To answer the calls for membership outside the province of Cebu, AmCham – Cebu was rebranded to AmCham Visayas Chapter in 2017. At present, it has 95 active members, a majority of which are engaged in manufacturing, IT/BPO, and hospitality industries.

JOIN AMCHAM VISAYAS
Corporate - A (Non NCR Member)
Non NCR Member means the member does not have any branch, or affiliate office located in the NCR that is already a bonafide member of Amcham Phils. In this classification, the firm shall be represented by an accredited representative who must rank as a senior executive but may not necessarily be an American citizen.
Corporate - B (Existing NCR Member)
This membership is available to corporations, partnerships, proprietorships, and other business organizations and enterprises, which are registered and qualified to do business in the Philippines. In this classification, the firm should be represented by an accredited individual who must rank as a senior executive but may not necessarily be an american citizen.
Regular Individual Membership
Available to any Individual, employed or not, residing in the Philippines, who wants to be recognized as an official member of the Chapter.
Non-Profit & Government Membership
This membership is available to: non-profit, charitable, civic, educational, religious and eleemosynary organizations, associations and institutions in the Philippines. Under this classification, an individual accredited by the organization shall serve as a representative. Employees of the U.S. Federal Government can also avail of this membership category.
